Technical requirements

What are the technical requirements that my computer or mobile device needs to meet to enable me to use the Edu-forma educational website?

Edu-forma operates on the level of your Internet browser and uses HTML5 technology which is compatible with all popular browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). In order to attend classes, you will need a headset (microphone + headphones) connected via USB and a video camera – built-in or external. Please make sure that both of these devices function properly.

What are the requirements which my Internet connection needs to meet to enable me to use the Edu-forma educational website?

You need to have a stable Internet connection with data upload speed of at least 0.5 Mb/s and download speed of at least 2 Mb/s. Maximum reaction time (PING) should be less than 35 ms.

How/where can I check if my computer or mobile device meets the technical requirements for using the Edu-forma educational website?

Every time you sign in to the Edu-forma educational website, the website will check if your browser version is up to date and, if not, will display instructions on how to proceed.

How/where can I check if my Internet connection meets the technical requirements for using the Edu-forma educational website?

In order to measure the parameters of your Internet connection, you can use any Internet website making Internet connection speed tests available.

Do I need any additional software to use the Edu-forma educational website?

General issues

Do I have to be adult to create an account as part of the Edu-forma educational website?

No, however you need to have a bank account required for processing payments.

Do I have to provide you with my full data (including full name) when registering an account on the Edu-forma educational website?

Yes, this is required. In order to fulfil obligations defined in the Terms and conditions and Privacy policy upon registering a teacher account we shall need your personal data.

Do I have to indicate my specialisation or field of interest in the subjects I want to teach?

Description of your specialisation or field of interest is a signal for students that you teach at a level higher than basic; it also helps to narrow down search results thereby rising your chances for selling a lesson.

Can I teach different subjects (ie mora than one) at different levels?

Of course, you can offer various subjects and on different levels of proficiency.

Will other users be able to view my profile?

Yes, other users will have access to your profile, your offer of lessons with descriptions and evaluation you've received from students whom you taught.

Are teaching aids I upload during classes stored in the archives of the Edu-forma educational website?

Yes, you have unlimited access to them under the My files tab. If you would like to upload onto interactive board something you have used before or share with your student a file you have already used, you can access these materials under that tab.

Do I have to pay to access the archives?

No, you can access all uploaded and shared files free of charge and use them after signing in to the Edu-forma educational website.


Payments and settlements

Does the fee charged by the Edu-forma educational website depend on the cost of a given lesson?

Yes, a fee is charged at a fixed rate of 5% (plus VAT) of the amount transferred to the teacher's account.

Do I need to have a bank account to use the Edu-forma educational website?

Yes, all transactions are effected using the your bank account.

Can I set different prices for different types of classes I teach?

Of course, you can set different rates both for classes from different fields and for classes from one field but at different times (ie weekdays and hollidays).

Will I be notified when someone buys a lesson from me?

You will, of course, receive an e-mail message with the relevant details (date, student, price) of your classes; if you choose such an option, you will also receive text message notification via SMS.

When will I receive payment for classes taught as part of the Edu-forma educational website?

Money transfers are settled daily, right before midnight, so money will be on your account the next day.

Can I receive a VAT invoice for classes I tought in the Edu-forma educational website?

Yes, of course – after signing in to your account, you can generate invoices under the Transactions tab.

Will I be paid if classes do not take place at the fault of the student?

Unfortunately, no – according to the law, the student has the right to cancel classes without stating the cause and at any time; furthermore he/she is entitled to have their money returned to them in such a case. However, if the student decides to stop taking part in classes in progress, money for the portion of the lessons that did take place will be transferred to the teacher's account.


Complaints and reporting errors

What should be done if I receive an unjustified complaint regarding my classes?

Whenever there is a complaint, you will be notified of this and you will be able to present your point of view. You can also choose no to present your profile to selected users under theMy account tab

How/where do I report errors on the Edu-forma educational website?

You can use the form on the Contact page; remember to include information about the error you are reporting in the subject of the message – to ensure the message is delivered to the right department. You can also report errors by phone using the phone number of the relevant department listed under that tab.


Data security

Can I be sure that my data saved in the Edu-forma educational website is properly protected?

We are making every effort to ensure that data made available to us is properly protected. Security measures described in the Terms and conditions and Privacy policy are supplemented with data security solutions consistent with Polish law and standards in effect within the European Economic Area.

Are classes in the Edu-forma educational website recorded in any way?

No, the Edu-forma educational website does not record your classes. However your students can record any part of the lesson for their personal use.

Can I use the Edu-forma Educational Website as a teacher and as a student at the same time (i.e. using one account only)?

No, it is required to register two separate accounts (with one e-mail address), i.e. a teacher account and a student account.

Is it possible for the account owner to delete his/her account on the Edu-forma educational website?

Of course, every user can delete his/her own account – you just have to choose the relevant tab in the My account settings.


Cancellation of classes and changing the date of classes

Can students reschedule the date of classes?

Yes, students have an inalienable right to resign from taking part in classes; however, we encourage them to try and contact their teacher first to discuss having the classes rescheduled to a different date, and only resign from them and have their money returned to them when this has proved impossible

What should be done when classes cannot take place due to technical circumstances independent from the teacher and the student?

If both parties agree, such classes can be postponed to another date; if the parties cannot agree as to a deadline, the lesson shall be cancelled and the money paid for it returned.
