What are the technical requirements that my computer or mobile device needs to meet to enable me to use the Edu-forma educational website?
Edu-forma operates on the level of your Internet browser and uses HTML5 technology which is compatible with all popular browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). In order to attend classes, you will need a headset (microphone + headphones) connected via USB and a video camera – built-in or external. Please make sure that both of these devices function properly.
What are the requirements which my Internet connection needs to meet to enable me to use the Edu-forma educational website?
You need to have a stable Internet connection with data upload speed of at least 0.5 Mb/s and download speed of at least 2 Mb/s. Maximum reaction time (PING) should be less than 35 ms.
How/where can I check if my computer or mobile device meets the technical requirements for using the Edu-forma educational website?
Every time you sign in to the Edu-forma educational website, the website will check if your browser version is up to date and, if not, will display instructions on how to proceed.
How/where can I check if my Internet connection meets the technical requirements for using the Edu-forma educational website?
In order to measure the parameters of your Internet connection, you can use any Internet website making Internet connection speed tests available.
Do I need any additional software to use the Edu-forma educational website?
No, the website does not install or require any additional software or browser plug-ins.
Do I have to be adult to create an account as part of the Edu-forma educational website?
No, however you or your legal guardian must have a bank account required for processing payments.
Do I have to provide you with my full data (including full name) when registering an account on the Edu-forma educational website?
Is filling out a survey to evaluate the teacher after a class mandatory?
No, it is not required however your assessment of the teacher helps to find the best teachers – it provides other users with information useful when choosing the right teacher for them.
Can I record classes for my own personal use?
Yes, this can be done by choosing the Record option in the right-hand panel of the interactive board. The recording will be stored within the Edu-forma educational website for 48 hours and you will have that much time to download it to your computer.
Are teaching aids uploaded during classes stored in the archives of the Edu-forma educational website?
Yes, you can access them at all times in the My files section.
Do I have to pay to access the archives?
No, you can access all uploaded and shared files free of charge and use them after signing in to the Edu-forma educational website.
Payments and settlements
Does the fee charged by the Edu-forma educational website depend on the cost of a given lesson?
Yes, a fee is charged at a fixed rate of 5% (plus VAT) of the amount transferred to the teacher's account.
Do I need to have a bank account to use the Edu-forma educational website?
Yes, all transactions are effected using the PayU payment system. Fees for classes booked and amounts returned due to the cancellation of classes are tied to your bank account.
When am I supposed to pay for lessons booked in the Edu-forma educational website?
Payment for classes is to be made upon booking.
Can I receive a VAT invoice for classes paid for as part of the Edu-forma educational website?
Of course, you only have to enter the relevant data in the My account section.
Is it possible to get a refund for classes which did not take place at the fault of the teacher?
Yes. If the teacher did not conduct the class or if technical issues made conducting the class impossible at the teacher's fault, your entire payment will be returned to you.
Is it possible to get a refund for classes which did not take place at the fault of the student?
Yes, provided that the student cancels classes before they begin.
Complaints and reporting errors
What should be done when the description of a teacher's skills and knowledge proves inaccurate?
After the lesson, the student will be asked to evaluate the teacher; if you believe that the teacher's knowledge does not match his or her profile description, do make a comment – other users will benefit from your experience.
What should be done when the description of classes does not match their actual course?
You can either make a comment evaluating the lesson after its completion, or end classes and make a complaint. If you make a complaint during the classes (via the My account)), an amount proportionate to the duration of the part of the class in which you actually took part will be subtracted from the amount you paid.
What should be done if the teacher conducts classes but is unprepared for them or incapable of conducting them?
You should terminate such class (via My account))– the money you paid for them will be returned to you (less the money for the portion of the classes that actually took place); after that, you should report what happened to the Edu-forma team using the relevant form under the Contact tab.
How/where do I report errors on the Edu-forma educational website?
You can use the form on the Contact page; remember to include information about the error you are reporting in the subject of the message – to ensure the message is delivered to the right department. You can also report errors by phone using the phone number of the relevant department listed under that tab.
Can I be sure that my data saved in the Edu-forma educational website is properly protected?
How can I be sure that people who teach classes are really who they claim to be?
When registering an account in Edu-forma a validation transfer is required which pairs a bank account with a user - thus confirming teacher's identity.
Are classes in the Edu-forma educational website recorded in any way?
No, the Edu-forma educational website does not record your classes.
Can I use the Edu-forma Educational Website as a teacher and as a student at the same time (i.e. using one account only)?
No, it is required to register two separate accounts (with one e-mail address), i.e. a teacher account and a student account.
Is it possible for the account owner to delete his/her account on the Edu-forma educational website?
Of course, every user can delete his/her own account – you just have to choose the relevant tab in the My account settings.
Cancellation of classes and changing the date of classes
Is it possible to reschedule the date of booked classes?
Of course, you can reschedule your class to a different date (whent the teacher consents to it) or resign from classes, have your money returned to you, and buy a different lesson.
What should be done when classes cannot take place due to technical circumstances independent from the teacher and the student?
If both parties agree, such classes can be postponed to another date; if the parties cannot agree as to a deadline, the lesson shall be cancelled and the money paid for it returned.
